The Sustainable Communities Lab of the Chinese University of Hong Kong is holding a workshop on 20th Feb with the topic "Place audit, urban planning procedures and realising placemaking projects". We would like to invite all District Councillors and their assistants, members of community organisations and all interested members of the public to join.
Place audit is a tool for us to gain a multi-faceted overview of our neighbourhood. After conducting a place audit, we will be able to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in a place. On the other hand, familiarisation with the existing planning system can help us formulate suitable strategies for proposing and realising community planning and placemaking projects.
Registration: https://forms.gle/a1V7p88aSPkTFP6N9
Please join our Workshop if you want to:
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the neighbourhood
• Learn to identify complex and tangled problems in the community
• Develop placemaking ideas
