Sustainable Communities Lab for People’s Multifaceted Well-being

The built environment shapes our daily life and affects our sense of place and wellbeing. To establish a sustainable city and community, building a healthy settlement, where we can have a great sense of belonging and multifaceted well-being is of quintessential importance. This project aims to create opportunities for community champions and residents to come together to ‘make’ their places at the community level.

In our series of workshops and labs, we help District Councillor and community members to co-learn concepts about sustainable communities, then to co-create solutions to build a sustainable and cohesive community. Workshop/Lab dates and topics include:

1. 6/6/2020 (Sat) 2-5pm: Concepts on sustainable cities and communities, such as United Nations’s SGDs and New Urban Agenda and Doughnut Economics developed by an Oxford scholar (ZOOM Meeting)

2. 15/8/2020 (Sat) 2-5pm: Relationships between place qualities, sense of place and sense of well-being:

3. 14/11/2020 (Sat) 2-5pm: ‘Three-in-one’ research and practices that can attain socio-economic and environmental benefits and promote people’s multifaceted well-being

Join us if you are a District Councillor (or assistant), community leader, or resident who are passionate about making a better community!
