The research paper - "Improved urban heat island mitigation using bioclimatic redevelopment along an urban waterfront at Victoria Dockside" is selected for the Merits Award in Urban Design Awards 2021 (Research Category) by The Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD).
The Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD) Urban Design Awards are held every two years to recognise urban design related projects with outstanding performance and contributions in promoting excellence in Urban Design. The awards have divided into Built Project, Urban Intervention, Plan / Concept and Research categories.
The 2021 Award has received a total of 44 submissions, in which 5 out of 44 are from the Built Project Category 3 out of 44 are from the Urban Intervention Category and 30 out of 44 are from Plan / Concept Category, 6 out of 44 are from Research Category.
